Characters have been revealed for "The Dark Knight Rises"!

Warner Bros. have officially announced not only the villians of Christopher Nolan's future release "The Dark Knight Rises", but have also revealed the names of the actor's to portray them. It has been reported that Anne Hathaway(The Devil Wears Prada) will be taking on the role of Catwoman, and the infamous ill-tempered character of Bane will be played Tom Hardy(Inception).
I hate to be in the negatives about this whole situation...but come on. Anne Hathaway? What the heck is Nolan thinking? He seriously couldn't have found a better candidate for the job? I am completely satisfied with Hardy in the movie, as I really enjoyed his performance in Nolan's last movie Inception. My only gripe is with Hathaway. Im not going to give up on the Nolan Batman Trilogy...but until I see a trailer, this is sad news to me.

Sneak Peak - NECA 1/4th scale (19") Classic Predator

Thats right people, you read that correctly. NECA has announced via their Twitter account that Spring 2011 will show us the ultimate Predator collectible. The figure stands at approximately 19", making it the tallest Predator figure available. If you're a Predator fan, you will not let this one get away. Officially details have not yet been posted on NECA's official website, but from what we've read there will be 3 variations of the figure available: Masked, Unmasked/Open Mouth, and Unmasked/Closed Mouth. "Green Hornet" Madness!

"The Green Hornet is a fictional character - an American pulp hero and masked vigilante - created by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker with input by radio director James Jewell in 1936. Since his radio debut in the 1930s, the Green Hornet has appeared in numerous serialized dramas in a wide variety of media. The character appeared in film serials in the 1940s, a network television program in the 1960s, multiple comic book series from the 1940s on, and a feature film to be released in January 2011. Though various incarnations sometimes change details, in most incarnations the Green Hornet is Britt Reid, a newspaper publisher by day who goes out in his masked "Green Hornet" identity at night to fight crime as a vigilante. He is accompanied by his similarly masked sidekick and confidante Kato, who drives their technologically-advanced car: "Black Beauty"."


Through all the years, The Green Hornet has gone through tons of changes. It's changed settings, actors, personifications. But after all the differences and over 75 years of exsistance, The Green Hornet is seeing the light of day with this year's movie adaptation. The film has brought new life to an almost forgotten classic. The new blockbuster has brought new attention to the Green Hornet franchise, with new comics, toys and collectibles. Hot Toys Prototype Spotted

Searching around the internet this morning I came across something that I think will excite many people. The picture shows a Hot Toys artist sitting at a table during an interview. On the table is the prototype of something that I believe we've all been looking forward to since Hot Toys had announced it. The prototype is a 1/6th scaled Jake Sully from James Cameron's Avatar! We have all been waiting to see something of this figure since Hot Toys announced they obtained the licence over a year ago. Looks like it's coming along nicely, and we can't wait to see the finished product...and hopefully soon.

Drea's Collection 2011

In late 2008, I discovered the Star Wars toy collecting community on a photo sharing website named Flickr.com. I realized how big this community was and loved the face that toy collecting isn't only for children anymore. While I wasn't much involved when it started, I took advantage of the few Star Wars toys and figures I had aquired from my childhood and shared them with the rest of the toy collecting community. Christmas came along soon after and my parents had taken notice of my new found love for Star Wars collectibles. They bought me anything that bared the name "Star Wars" on it...from bobble heads, to 3-3/4 figures, novelty collectibles and more. Ever since then, I can't seem to go to any store without visiting the Star Wars isle.
2 months later, I met my wonderful boyfriend who loved the fact that I collected toys and collected as well. That's also what started this whole blog, was the love that we both shared for toys. So for 2 years now, collecting Star Wars toys has been a huge focus in life. While my collection may not be as large and/or impressive as other collectors in the toy community, I can say I'm proud of what my tiny collection has grown to in just only 2 years.
