Please Stand By

Ok, we know we've been lagging really bad. Im seriously embarressed of how we've neglected the toy community over the last couple weeks, and I apologize. Andrea and I have just been really busy with other things and just have not had the time to update anything toy related. We've been traveling a lot lately so we havent really been home. Another thing that really sucks is that we dont really have the money right now to spend on collectibles so its really heartbreaking to see all the new things coming out knowing that there is a chance that we might not be able to get them. So please everyone just stay with us, we promise we havent forgotten about any of you guys. We'll have reviews and toy updates up soon, and once again we apologize about the absence lately. Thanks for understanding.

Sneak Peak!!! Hot Toys 1:6 Iron Man 2 Mark IV

The hands at Hot Toys have been lately recently, because not far after revealing their 1:6 War Machine, 1:6 Whiplash, 1:4 Mark IV bust and 1:4 War Machine bust...they released a teaser for the new 1:6 Iron Man 2 Mark IV and it is a beauty.
Can tell you much about it yet, but trust me the minute we know more we'll be posting. =]

Hot Toys 1:6 Clash of the Titans Perseus

Last week I spoke about the new Hot Toys 1:6 scale Clash of the Titans Perseus figure. With the success of the movie already showing, HT got their preview photos out pretty fast. True to what I noticed...the armor is too square and is not completely movie accurate. Thats the only gripe I truly have about this figure. This figure features so many accessories, it definitely packs the bang for your buck.

NECA Terminator 2 Series 3

As Ive said before, Im very impressed with NECA's Terminator 2: Judgement Day action figure line. Thier upcoming Series 3 is no exeption. These figures are truly a spectacle, and I'd have to say its their best Terminator sculpts yet. The craftsmenship and detail in painting that went into this series is very impressive and for the US$16.00 price tag is a steal. The new series features 4 new additions:

T-1000 Pescadero - The figure features the damage he endures when he first meets up with the T-800 in the Pescadero Hospital. The figure boasts bullet wounds, hook arms, and two different heads, an exploded head after taking a shotgun blast, and a split head as he forms back together.

T-800 Steel Mill - This T-800 is a predecessor of the Final Battle Version from the previous series The figure comes with a pistol and grenade launcher, and articulation including a ball-jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and swivel waist.

T-800 Battle Across Time - This figure is an exclusive rendition of the T-800 from the T2-3D movie attraction at Universal Studios theme parks entitled "Battle Across Time". The figure features a shotgun and plasma rifle.

T-1000 Galleria - This is the figure of the T-1000 as he first appears in his police uniform pursuing John Connor in the shopping mall. He boasts five interchangeable hands and a pistol.

Hot Toys news - PREDATORS!

Ok, I know Im late on this one but oh well. More news coming from Hot Toys; along with announcing their other movie licences for Clash of the Titans, Prince of Persia, Avatar, and Iron Man 2...HT tells us they have just aquired the movie licensing rights to Robert Rodriguez's upcoming film Predators.

"Expecting Robert Rodriguez’s Predators movie and the amazing Hot Toys’ collectible figures? Wonderful news for all Predators fans! Today, we are proud to announce the upcoming license on the collectible figures for the long-anticipated Predators movie. The film will be launched in July this year! Another great Movie Masterpiece of the year, don’t miss it! Stay tuned!"

-Hot Toys

Lately Ive been getting into the Predator movies and Ive actually thought about purchasing a figure from HT. The problem is...they go for almost US$300. So the fact that they're going to manufacture a new line of Predators brings joy to my heart. =]
We'll have you updated as soon as previews are realeased. Hopefully they dont take as long as they are for the 1:6 Iron Man 2 Whiplash figure. The teaser was released almost 2 weeks ago and we still have no photos of it. Damn Hot Toys and anticipation.

Hows everyone's Monday treating them? Well we just were looking over our pages and realized we've been a little behind with updating. Right now we're taking a little bit of a purchasing break, so we can spend some money on some long overdue needed things. So we wont have any major purchasing of collectibles for awhile. We will however be reviewing as many different collectibles as we can, and keeping you up to date on the newest and hottest toys in the upcoming market. Thanks for all of your guys' support. Happy collecting.

Hot Toys-Clash of the Titans Is Coming!

Hot Toys recently came out with this preview of their Perseus figure from Clash of the Titans. I would write more about it...but Im about to leave to go see the movie. X]

UPDATE 4-3-10
Clash of Titans was Epic. An amazing movie all around. I have to admit, I saw the 1981 original motion picture and read the original book as a child, so I knew for the most part what was going to happen in the movie. What I was not anticipating were some of the changes to the original story line. I loved it, the director really did a good job. The visuals were pretty stunning, and seeing it in RealD 3D was pretty crazy. In my opinion, this movie's visuals were grand enough that it would even look pretty breath taking in 2D as well.

The original "CLASH OF THE TITANS" from 1981

We actually have a picture of the original Kracken as a statue. =]

After seeing the movie and reviewing some pictures online, I noticed something about Hot Toys new Perseus preview photo...one big flaw. Unfortunately it seems HT didnt pay much attention to detail to Perseus' chest armor. If you look in the comparison pictures below, you can clearly see that the shape is all wrong. I know to some this may not seem like a big deal, but I look for complete realism and movie accuracy in my figures and thats just a deal breaker for me. Now, as we've seen from the original MMS Joker in the past, Hot Toys may have gotten this wrong due to poor referencing from the movie research. It could also be that its just the prototype is off. We can hope that since the movie has now been released that HT will fix this flaw in time for the figures release. So thats all for now, we will keep you updated!
