The San Diego Comic-con International is right around the corner, less than a month away, and people are already ecstatic.
For those of you that dont know what SDCC is, SDCC is the biggest comic/movie based convention event in the western hemisphere and has been going strong for over 3 decades. It hosts thousands of vendors with merchandise in comics/toys/movie & pop culture memorablia/video games and much more. Thousands of people flood into the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA(USA) every year, and enjoy four days of geeky goodness. Above all it is the biggest meeting place of this sub-culture and it is a place to just be yourself.
Every year it seems that SDCC becomes more crowded and this year is no exception. Tickets had sold out nearly 4-5 months ago and the demand for more is so great that they have decided to sell returned tickets at regular price. A handful of companies every year sell what's called "Comic Con Exclusive" products, some available only at the convention and some such as Sideshow Collectibles Exclusives are sold online to any buyer. Overall, the SDCC is the best place to be if you live on the West Coast of the United States. Its an amazing meeting ground for any fan of these hobbies and you would not want to miss it.
Unfortunately Drea and I will not be attending this year due to money issues, but hopefully next year we can get there.
