I know that we're kind of late on this, but man do I wish I lived in Tokyo. Last December Hot Toys celebrated 10 years of excellency in 1/6th scaled movie character replicas. Along with some awesome exclusive figures, Hot Toys held an event in Tokyo, Japan. The event was spectacular showcasing all of Hot Toys figures over the last decade, and some truly breath-taking dioramas.
I have to say, seeing this gigantic exhibition does bring a little green of envy to my eye. Unfortunately, other than Comic-Con and Toy Fair, North America really doesnt treasure toy collecting like the rest of the world. We do have a pretty big community here in The States, but the mainstream media just doesnt cherish high end collectibles quite like the Asian countries. Sad, but hey... we'll keep hoping The U.S. will catch on someday.
