The movie-accurate Superman collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Christopher Reeve as The Man of Steel, highlighting the authentic head sculpt, movie-accurate costume and detailed light-up figure stage imitating the Fortress of Solitude.Additionally, Hot Toys Limited will be donating a portion of this collectible figure's sales to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. After much time and controversy Hot Toys finally released the teaser photo for their upcoming Superman (1978) figure today via Facebook. This figure has been very anticipated, and has been the center of much conversation among the internet. As some may remember, Hot Toys announced this line before Christmas 2010 and promised a teaser within the month of the announcement. That time came and went, and no photo was to be found. Nearly 6 months later we are proud to bring you the first official photo of the man of steel. We'll keep all of you updated as information and more photos are released of the late Christopher Reeve. We're a bit late on this news, but when we came across this while browsing we just had to share.It seems that Enterbay has decided to shift their focus from Sci-Fi & Action movie figures and focus on something never attempted before in the 1:6th scaled figure world. They announced via Facebook back in December that they would begin work on this ambitious new project. No official list of players to be made or any release dates have been released yet, but one teaser photo of Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant has been leaked onto the internet.Andrea and I are huge Lakers fans, and also live in Los Angeles, so this news is simply amazing to us. We can't wait to see what Enterbay gives us in the upcoming year. We'll keep you all updated on their progress.
NECA has released an exclusive preview of their upcoming Terminator figure, Arnold Swarzenegger as the T-800. The figure replicates the classic scene from director James Cameron's 1984 science-fiction thriller in which the T-800's hunt for destined mother of the future leader of the Resistance, Sarah Connor, leads him to a night club named Tech Noir.The preview picture shows the upcoming 7" T-800 figure in blister packaging ready for store shelves. From the looks of the picture, Terminator fans will be no-less than astounded by the detail and craftsmentship of this figure. Finally, an expo for 1:6th scale figures in America! For years the only expo to show us these marvelous little treasures was Comic-Con held in San Diego, CA. But now thanks to a company called Q's Toys and Collectibles we have an expo as close to home as possible. Only 30 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, we'll definitely be there.
